CimonD là một công cụ chỉnh sửa dự án để xây dựng hệ thống CIMON-SCADA. Với nhiều tính năng có sẵn trong CimonD, người dùng có thể tạo các dự án phù hợp với nhu cầu của mình thông qua nhiều cấu hình khác nhau.
4. CimonD Startup Screen
The figure shows the startup page upon the execution of CimonD.
Projects can be created or opened by going through the top menu bar. Once created or opened, additional menus become enabled to interact with the project. The project workspace allows easy management and modifications of projects. The status toolbar positioned at the bottom of the window shows additional information of a selected resource.
4.1 CimonD Startup Page Interface
The position of menus and toolbars can be modified according to the users preference. The menus and toolbars can be dragged to be docked on selected regions or float at a desired region.
To increase the working space region, project workspace and toolboxes can be minimized.
Clicking the [Downpin] button will minimize the side panel. Clicking the [Pinned]
button will open the side panel.
The figure below shows various regions where side panels and toolboxes may be docked.
By dragging a toolbox over a selected region, the desired region will be highlighted to indicate where the toolbox will be docked.
4.2 CimonD Menu
This section covers the two states of main menu based on whether or not a project is opened in CimonD
(1) Menu – Page Edit
Once a project is opened in CimonD, additional menus become enabled: [Edit], [Tools] [Draw], and [Arrange]. New items are added to the initial menus.

When selecting [Tools]-[Project], following item is added to the [Help] menu

When opening the [Database] window, following items are added to [Edit] and [Help] menu
(4) Script Menu
When opening the [Scripts] editor window, following items are added to [Edit] and [Help] menu
(5) ODBC Menu
When opening the [ODBC] editor window, following items are added to [Edit] and [Help] menu

4.3 Standard Tool
The standard toolbar contains frequently-used commands in CimonD. Go to [View] – [Standard Tool] to show or hide the toolbar on the top menu. When you execute the CimonD application, this toolbar shows up on the top menu as default. This toolbar consists of ‘Edit tools’ and ‘Execution tools’
4.3.1 Edit tools
These tools are used to edit the graphic page: [New Page], [Open], [Save], [Copy], etc. Refer to the table below for features and their descriptions.

Save | Saves the currently designing graphic page. |
Save All | Saves all pages. |

Copy | Copies the selected object |
Paste | Pastes the cut or copied object. |
Find | Shows a dialog box to find a string. |

4.3.2 Execution Tools
Execution tools consist of commands for executing the project. Refer to the table below
for features and their descriptions

4.4 Project Workspace
Project workspace is the area where the windows and features of CIMON-SCADA are listed. It is convenient for project management and modification.
You can show or hide the project workspace at [View] – [Project Workspace]. The project workspace is located on the left side of the screen as default. It is composed of [Project], [Page] and [Smart Library] tab.
4.4.1 Project
Various CimonD windows can be quickly executed from this tab. Double-click the item to open the page or module
To save all pages of the project, right-click [Windows] - [PAGE SAVE ALL(S)]. During the saving process, a progress bar appears. This feature removes the frame gap produced by the differences in OS versions.
Right-click on individual pages allows additional functions. The functions are listed in the table below.
(1) Copy Page
This function will clone a selected page. A window asking the user to confirm the cloning will appear. By selecting [Yes], the user may select the filename to save the page under. This page may be imported into other projects. If the name is duplicated, the page will overwrite the existing page
(2) Delete Page
This function will delete a selected page from the project. A window will appear asking the user to confirm the deletion.
(3) Rename Page
This function will rename a selected page on the project. The page name will now be modifiable for the user to enter a new page name. An alternative way to initiate the rename function would be to single click a selected page
(4) Save page
You can save the selected page. All changes are saved. This feature is same as the icon located in the standard tool
4.4.2 Page
The [Page] tab displays each page with a thumbnail. Double-clicking the thumbnail will open the page.
4.4.3 Smart Library
Objects in the Smart Library may be searched through or added to a page. Drag and drop a desired object to add it on a page.
4.5 Toolbox
A toolbox is a group of commands used to drawing basic and advanced objects, which are commonly used in project editing. It is located on the right side of the CimonD.
4.5.1 Basic Object
Basic objects vary from lines, rectangles, etc. Basic objects can be selected from the [Draw] menu.

Arrow | Selector mode is used to select, move and resize objects. To move around the graphic page: 1. Right-click the blank space of graphic page. 2. Drag the mouse opposite from the desired direction. |
Line | Line tool used to draw lines. |
Rectangle | Rectangle tool used to draw rectangles or squares. |
Rounded Rectangle |
Rounded rectangle tool used to draw rectangles or squares with rounded corners. |
Circle | Circle tool used to draw circle or ellipses. |
Arc | Arc tool used to draw arcs. |
Chord | Chord tool used to draw chords. |
Circular Sector | Circular sector tool used to draw circular sector. |
Polyline | Line tool used to draw polylines. Vertexes are added whenever clicking on a blank space of the graphic page. To exit drawing mode, double click the blank space of a graphic page. |
Polygon | Line tool used to draw polygons. Vertexes are added whenever clicking on a blank space of the graphic page. To exit drawing mode, double click a blank space of the graphic page. After exiting drawing mode, the first and last points are connected to form a polygon. |
Text | Text tool used to enter text on the graphic page. Click a blank space of the graphic page to finish editing the text. New lines can be added by pressing the Enter key |
4.5.2 Advanced Object
Advanced objects such as trends, alarm summary, log data sheets, charts, etc. can be added onto the graphic page. These objects can be accessed from the [Draw] menu

Tag Value | Brings up the Tag Value configuration dialog box. This is used to display a current tag value or variable in runtime. |
Button | Brings up the Button configuration dialog box. This is used to insert a button for functions such as ‘Open page’, ‘Close page’, ‘Write tag value’, etc. |
Trend | Brings up the Trend configuration dialog box. This is used to display currently logging data as trends. YT, Multiple, XY, ST trends are provided. |
Alarm Summary | Brings up the Alarm Summary configuration dialog box. This is used to display a summary of alarms, such as alarm history or alarm status. |
User Event Logging | Brings up the User Event Logging configuration dialog box. This is used to monitor desired events and log them during runtime. |
Log Data Sheet | Brings up the Log Data Sheet object. This is used to display logged data values on a grid. |
Chart | Brings up the Chart configuration dialog box. Log data or tag values can be shown in the various charts. |
Page Embedding | Brings up the Page Embedding dialog box. This is used to insert the other graphic page objects in the current page. |
Part | Brings up the Part selection dialog box. Includes part objects that had been edited in part editor. |
Switch/Lamp | Brings up the Switch/Lamp configuration dialog box. This is used to insert switches that operate in various touch conditions. |
Comment | Brings up the Comment configuration dialog box. This is used to utilize settings in the comment table. |
RTGraph | Brings up the RTGraph configuration dialog box. This is used to insert a real-time graph in the graphic page. |
Dynamic Image | Brings up the Dynamic Image configuration dialog box. This is used to display different images according to registered tag values. |
4.5.3 Etc
Objects such as Library, OLE Objects, External images can be added to the page. The Library is also available in the [Draw] menu. ActiveX, Animation Bitmap, OLE Objects, External images are also available in the [Edit] menu.

Library | Brings up Library selection dialog box. Library provides numerous graphic images such as engine, gauge, flowmeter, etc.. |
ActiveX | Allows the user to insert ActiveX to the graphic page and use it as a graphic animation object in CIMON-SCADA. |
Animation Bitmap | Animation bitmap is a feature to express an animation according to the registered tag value. |
OLE Embedding | Allows the user to insert various applications supported by windows to the graphic page as an object. |
Image Embedding | Allows the user to insert images created in an external program or downloaded from web to the project |
4.5.4 Window Control
Contains simple interfaces such as combo box and list controls to the page.
To add window control to a page, drag and drop the item from the toolbox. These objects may be selected from the Library.

Check Box | Assigns a tag value based on whether or not a check box is selected. |
Radio Button | Assigns a tag value based on a user selected option. Multiple options may not be selected. |
List Box | Assigns a tag value based on the index of a selected item from a list. |
Combo Box | Assigns a tag value based on the index of a selected item from a drop down menu. |
Edit Control | Assigns a tag value based on the value of a text field. |
Input/Output Table | Displays data in Excel format. |
Data Grid | Displays the query result of the linked tag. |
Video Capture | Displays video from a remote broadcast. |
List Control | Displays the retrieved data from the linked User LOG DB in the list. |
Calendar Control | Searches the date by the linked tags’ values. |
4.6 Status Tool
[Status Tool] shows the current selection state in CimonD. The status toolbar will contain a short description of the selected object, location of the cursor, and the lock status of
the keyboard.
The status toolbar can be hidden or shown through [View] - [Status Tool]. The Status tool is shown at the bottom of the application as the default setting.

(2) | Shows the cursor’s coordinate on the current graphic page. The coordinate is expressed in x and y, in pixel units. If there are objects on the graphic page, the exact coordinates of the object can be acquired by selecting it. |

(3) | Shows the lock status of your keyboard. Depending on the keyboard locks such as Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock, corresponding string lights up. |
