CimonX được dùng để chạy dự án đã được chỉnh sửa trong CimonD. CimonX thông qua giao tiếp với các thiết bị I/O đã khai báo để giữ trạng thái cơ sở dữ liệu trang web và giám sát cửa sổ hiển thị trạng thái trang web bằng cách sử dụng các chức năng điều khiển đa dạng theo giá trị Tag. Cứ với một dữ liệu được xử lý thì sẽ được phản hồi ngay sau đó.
1 CimonX Startup
1.1 Creating CimonX Shortcut
a) Go to the path where the CIMON-SCADA has installed. The default is “C:\CIMON\SCADA Version” and it may differ according to the user’s system environment
b) Right click “CimonX.exe” icon and select [Send to] – [Desktop (create shortcut)]. You will see the shortcut on the desktop screen. When you execute the CimonX with this icon, an administrative authority will be required.
c) Double-click the icon to check if CimonX is executed properly. If you have opened a project before, the project will be executed within the CimonX runtime.
You can exit the project by selecting [Close Project] in the CimonX [File] menu.
You can execute another project by selecting [Open Project].
1.2 CimonX Autorun
(1) Windows OS below Windows 8 (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server)
a) Right-click on the “CimonX.exe” icon. Select [Send to] – [Desktop (create shortcut)] in the pop-up menu.
b) Open the [Startup] window.
Press ‘Windows’ + ‘R’ key to open [Run] window. Enter “shell:startup” and press [OK]
- Open the [File Explorer] and enter “Startup” in the path field as shown below
c) Move the shortcut icon of CimonX into the [Startup] folder.
(2) Windows 8 and above (Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10)
a) Right-click on the “CimonX.exe” icon. Select [Send to] – [Desktop (create shortcut)] in the pop-up menu
b) Open the [Control Panel] and go to [Administrative Tools] – [Task Scheduler]
c) Click [Create Basic Task...] on the top right side of the [Task Scheduler] to open the [Create Basic Task Wizard]
d) In the [Create a Basic Task] window, enter “CimonX’ in the name field, then press [Next].
e) In the [Trigger] window, select [When the computer starts] option and press [Next]
f) In the [Action] window, select [Start a program] option and press [Next].
g) Press the [Browse...] button on the right side of the [Program/Script] field and select the shortcut icon of CimonX.
h) Finish the configuration by pressing [Finish] button on the window
1.3 CimonX Project Execution
a) Go to [File] – [Open Project] in CimonD and select a project to open. You can only open the files in ‘*.prj’ format. The default path of the project files is “C:\CIMON\SCADA Version Eng\Project Folder”
b) Select [Tools] – [Run project] or icon to execute the project. It may take a while according to the user’s PC environment.
c) If you didn’t install a key lock on your PC, a warning message box will appear indicating that the project runs within demo mode.
d) You can check the project is opened in CimonX
2 CimonX Termination
2.1 Usual CimonX Termination
a) Select [File] – [Exit] or click [X] button on the top right of the CimonX
b) Right-click CimonX on the taskbar and select [Close window]. You can also close the CimonX by pressing ‘ALT’ + ‘F4’ keys.
c) You can also close the CimonX by pressing ‘ALT’ + ‘F4’ keys. To use the hotkey, you must select [Enable Windows Short Cut Key] option in [CimonX Environment].
d) The message box appears asking if you wish to exit the CimonX. Press [Yes] to close the CimonX. It may take a while according to the user’s PC environment.
2.2 Method for Absence of Window Title
When there is no window title according to the CimonX configuration, you may use the top menu or the command to terminate the CimonX.
a) When [Show Title] option has unchecked in ‘CimonX Environment’, the title is removed from the CimonX window as shown below.
b) You can close the CimonX by selecting [File] – [Exit] in the top menu
c) You may enter the subroutine “exit()” in the [Work] – [Command Window] to exit the CimonX
2.3 Method for Absence of Window Title and Top Menu
a) When both [Show Menu] and [Show Title] option have unchecked in ‘CimonX Environment’, the top menu and title are removed from the CimonX window as shown below
b) Create a digital tag and enter the name as [EXIT], then assign it as an alarm tag
c) Go to [Alarm] tab and select the alarm type as [OFF->ON]. Enter the subroutine
‘exit()’ in the [Tag Action] tab.
d) Write a script as shown below. When ‘EXIT’ tag value equals to 1, the tag operates
the assigned action
e) Create a button object, then go to [Action Script] tab. Select the action as [Command Expression] and enter the command to run the script.
f) Run the CimonX. When you press [Exit] button, CimonX will be shut down by script execution
3. CimonX Startup Page
3.1 CimonX Startup Page Interface
You can configure the arrangement of window and menu on CimonX startup.
According to the user’s configuration [CimonX Setup] in CimonD, the presence of the CimonX title area and interfaces are decided
3.2 CimonX Menu
Name | Description |
File | You can open or close the procedures in CimonX. Includes [Open], [Close], [Close All], [Open Project], [Close Project], [Page Setup], [Print], [Exit]. |
View | Shows or hides the CimonX tools. You can also open the monitoring features such as [Database], [Network Status], etc. Includes [Toolbar], [Status Bar], [System Status], [Database], [Network Status], [Alarm List], [Scripts], [ODBC], [Data Logging], [Reports], [Scheduler]. |
Work | You can manually control the project, or log in to the project as a user. Includes [Change Tag Value], [User Log In], [User Log Out], [Change Password], [Command Window]. |
Help | Displays information about CimonX and the Key Lock. Includes [About CimonX]. |
3.3 Toolbar
Name | Description |
Open | Opens the page file. |
Close | Closes the currently opened page. |
Close All | Closes all of the currently opened pages. |
Prints the current page. | |
Write Tag | Opens the window where you can check or change the tag value. |
Log In | Opens the [User Log In] dialog box. |
Log Out | Logs out from the current account. |
Change Password | Opens a dialog where you can change the password of the current account. |
System Status | Opens the [Project] window which displays the overall status of the project. |
Database | Opens the [Database] window which displays the list of tags. |
Network | Opens the [Network Status] window where you can check the status of the nodes, devices, and stations. |
Alarms | Opens the [Alarm] window which displays the information related to alarms. |
Scripts | Opens the [Script] window where you can check the scripts of the project. |
ODBC | Opens the [ODBC] window where you can check the settings. |
Data Logging | Opens the [Data Logging] window where you can find the settings of each Data Logging module. |
Reports | Opens the [Reports] window where you can find the settings of each Report module. |
About CimonX | Opens the pop-up where you can find information about CimonX and the Key Lock |
3.4 Status Bar
[Status Bar] in CimonX shows the current state of the user. You can find a short description of system alarm, network status, and the current time.
You can show or hide the [Status Bar] through [View] – [Status Bar]. The Status Bar is shown at the bottom of the application as default. You can configure the items in CimonD which will be displayed on Status Bar
