The iDCS-8000 is a distributed modular I/O system which communicates with numerous controllers via different communicating interfaces. The iDCS-8000 provides an easy installation of the I/O modules and process cabling. It is highly modularized and flexible so that I/O modules can be combined to suit many applications including the most known types of signals, digital analog, pulse and HART. The iDCS-8000 can be mounted in many configurations to fit most requirements both in single or fully redundant applications.

The iDCS-8000 is a redundant system designed for harsh environment such as oil refining plant, chemical plant, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and water treatment. Moreover, the iDCS-8000 offers the advantage of easy maintenance, the modules, power, communication and I/O, and termination boards can be easily hot-swapped. Besides, there are many functions built-in in iDCS-8000 like auto configuration, fault detection, dual watchdog, etc.

Flexible

The I/O modules plugged in iDCS-8000 station can be configured into single or redundant operation. Users can easily upgrade I/O security in a same station by adding same module and configuring into redundant operation without any additional wiring.

I/O redundant switching < 1ms

The iDCS-8000 features a tiny time for I/O redundant switching within maximum 1ms.

The up-to-date I/O

The I/O modules plugged in the iDCS-8000 station will automatically update I/O data to communication module. This feature not only decreases the delay for updating I/O data but also acquire the up-to-date I/O data.

Easy Diagnostic

The communication and I/O modules provide several LED indicators to help user to locally identify status and working properly.

Various Communication Interfaces

The iDCS-8000 provides connectivity to most popular industry-standard such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and CANopen. The various communication interfaces help user to integrate most of controller and PLC.

Dual watchdog design

The iDCS-8000 series I/O modules provide module watchdog and host watchdog. The module watchdog is a hardware watchdog, and the host watchdog is a software watchdog. The module watchdog is designed to automatically reset the microprocessor when the module hangs. The host watchdog monitors the host controller (PC or PLC). The output of module can go to the safe value state when the host fails.

1. The DN-DO-16DR-B cannot work standalone. It must connect to DN-DO-16DR-A when channel 15~31 is used.
